Apparently times have changed at Harvard University, where a team of students recently launched a hamburger into space with a balloon. [The Atlantic Wire] Caffeinated energy drinks are getting somewhat of a deadly reputation, with the FDA today announcing 13 reported deaths potentially caused by “5-Hour Energy” shots over the last four years. And that’s not all: The FDA has also received nearly 100 reports of other adverse effects, including heart attacks and convulsions, that might be linked to the drinks. A recent analysis by Consumer Reports estimates that one shot of 5-Hour Energy contains nearly twice the caffeine of a typical 8-ounce cup of coffee.
